DDTC: CJs Will No Longer Be Accepted Through EFS

Effective Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at 5 p.m. (EST), the U.S. Department of State’s Directorate of Defense Trade Controls (DDTC) will no longer use the Electronic Form Submission (EFS) application to accept Commodity Jurisdiction (CJ) requests. Rather, beginning Monday, November 21, 2016, users must submit CJ applications via the Defense Export Control and Compliance System (DECCS). The change is a part of DDTC’s efforts to modernize its information management systems.

On November 8, 2016, DDTC launched its new IT Modernization Outreach page and stated that the webpage will contain all communications related to its IT modernization efforts.
