Michael is an Associate Attorney who assists clients with a wide range of international trade matters involving economic sanctions, trade embargoes, U.S. export controls, and U.S. Customs laws and regulations.
Michael’s experience includes developing export compliance programs for multinational corporations and creating export licensing solutions to assist clients with the submission and management of U.S. export licenses. He also has experience conducting global investigations and reviews related to the domestic and extraterritorial application of regulations administered by the Office of Foreign Assets Control, Directorate of Defense Trade Controls, and the Bureau of Industry and Security.
Michael also has experience with advising clients on the laws and regulations administered by U.S. Customs and Border Protection. He has assisted clients with a variety of import compliance matters, such as classifying complex products on the Harmonized Tariff Schedule, analyzing the applicability of free trade agreements, and conducting in-depth reviews of imports for disclosures to U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
Michael earned his J.D. in 2014 from Tulane University Law School, where he served as the Senior Business Editor for the Tulane Journal of International and Comparative Law. Michael received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in International Business from the University of Southern California.
