Tope is an Associate Attorney who assists clients with international trade compliance issues, including U.S. trade sanctions, export controls issues, and customs matters. Tope’s experience includes work on internal investigations involving compliance with U.S. export controls and sanctions; determining jurisdiction and classification of equipment and technology; and creating export licensing solutions to assist clients with the submission and management of U.S. export licenses. Tope also has experience working on matters involving U.S. import laws and regulations administered and enforced by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) including Prior Disclosures, Seizure Notices, HTSUS 9801 (U.S. goods returned), tariff classification, country of origin, and free trade agreements.
Tope earned her J.D. in 2015 from University of Houston Law School, where she interned with the Harris County Attorney’s Office in the Public Law Group and was a judicial intern for the Honorable David Farr at the 312th Family Court. Tope received her B.S. in Sociology from Texas A&M University.
