Joiner Law Firm is committed to helping those in need. Our network of generous donors, volunteers and employees share a mission of preventing and relieving suffering, here at home and around the world, through these organizations.

Bel Inizio

Founded by Theresa Strong and located in Houston, Bel Inizio helps disadvantaged women develop self-confidence and life skills through fitness and nutrition. Participants train to complete a 5K, which helps prepare them for the ultimate race — the race for a better life.

Houston Food Bank

In fall 2008, the Houston Food Bank merged with End Hunger Network, a Houston-area food rescue organization, thus making more effective use of community resources by working together as one. Every dollar donated to the Houston Food Bank provides the equivalent of three meals for an individual.

Texas Children's Hospital, located in Houston, Texas, is a not-for-profit organization whose mission is to create a healthier future for children and women throughout our global community by leading in patient care, education and research.

Favor of God Ministries

Founded by Carole Ward in 2005, Favor of God Ministries is a Ugandan organization that arose in response to the most horrific war in African history. Favor Uganda volunteers work in Gulu, Uganda and operates House of Hope Orphanage and a primary school. Favor Uganda also offers trauma counseling.

Located in Texarkana, Texas, and founded by Jeni Eldridge in 2013, Haven Homes provides safe transitional housing for women graduating from Bowie County Women's Center.

Located in Houston, Star of Hope is a Christ-centered community dedicated to meeting the needs of homeless men, women and their children. Positive life changes are encouraged through structured programs which focus on spiritual growth, education, employment, life management and recovery from substance abuse.

The mission of Covenant House Texas is to offer homeless and runaway youth a safe haven from the dangers of street life and abuse as well as provide them with the necessary skills, training, and emotional support to choose positive life alternatives and develop into self-sufficient adults.

The Periwinkle Foundation is located in Houston, and provides programs that positively change the lives of children, young adults and families who are challenged by cancer and other life-threatening illnesses and are cared for at Texas Children’s Hospital.

Houston Area Women's Center

The Houston Area Women's Center helps individuals affected by domestic and sexual violence in their efforts to move their lives forward. We provide shelter, counseling and advocacy to support them in building lives free from the effects of violence. We seek social change to end domestic and sexual violence through community awareness and education.

Abandoned Animal Rescue

Abandoned Animal Rescue is a Non-profit 501(c)(3) no-kill animal shelter and low-cost spay/neuter clinic, located in Tomball, Texas. Our mission is to end the unnecessary euthanasia of helpless animals and to place them in permanent homes for the duration of their lives. .

Houston Habitat for Humanity

Houston Habitat for Humanity, with thousands of sponsors and volunteers, has worked hard to help build homes for low-income Houstonians. Future Houston Habitat Homeowners contribute 300 hours of “sweat equity” and complete home maintenance and financial training to purchase homes with zero interest mortgages.
